Em setembro de 2022, a ADUFSCar participou do Encontro Regional da rede de Trabalhadoras da Educação na América Latina, seguido da celebração do centenário do patrono da educação brasileira, Paulo Freire, promovidos pela Internacional da Educação para América Latina (IEAL), pela Rede Latino-Americana de Estudos sobre o Trabalho Docente (RED ESTRADO) e pela Confederação Nacional dos Trabalhadores em Educação (CNTE) em Recife (PE).
A presidenta do Sindicato, Fernanda Castelano Rodrigues e o vice-presidente, Marcos Soares, integraram a delegação do PROIFES – Federação, composta por 30 docentes.
Durante os quatro dias de atividades, educadoras e educadores da América Latina e do mundo discutiram, entre outros temas, um modelo político educativo alternativo à onda de privatização da educação.
